Australian Domestic Violence Victim backs Rihanna’s outpour
Wednesday, November 25, 2009 10:52In the wake of POP star Rihanna breaking her silence over her assault by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, a brave Australian woman is also speaking out about her experiences of abuse during an abusive relationship with the release of her book, Bruises on the Inside due to come out on November 25 in time for White Ribbon Week, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
In her brave and incredibly inspiring debut title, Victorian mother of three Jennifer Hepburn shares how emotional and psychological abuse can be just as damaging, and of course there is always the danger it may become physical as well, as in Rihanna’s case.
“While broken bones and black eyes will eventually heal, there are forms of abuse that can take far longer, and sometimes never do…. These are the Bruises on the Inside, hence the reason for the title of my book,” says Hepburn.
Please find attached a press release with more information as well a publicity shot of the author.
Presales of the book can be purchased online at www.bruisesontheinside.com.au shortly. A limited number of press copies can also be arranged by request.
